Visiting in Austin

Recently we had the pleasure of playing tour guide for Rob's sister Sherry. She came along with Eric for a business trip to Austin. Since we are not as familiar with Austin this visit gave us a chance to explore the city with her. We managed to squeeze in a day of play with dinosaurs at Zilker Park, a rare double date to the Alamo Draft House and a tour of the Bob Bullock History of TX Museum.

The kids would prefer to dig for bones than see plastic replicas in the park, can you blame them?

We discovered this little oasis tucked away in the heart of Austin.

Part of touring the History of TX Museum was a demonstration by a roping expert along with dressing up like cowboys. The army pants really make Jesse's outfit complete.

Rob was very impressed with the floor mural in the entrance of the museum, (he's the one in the baseball cap.)
