This summer Shayla participated in a teen digital photography contest organized by our local library. The contest theme was "Here I am" and was for students aged 13 to 18yrs old. She submitted a self portrait she took using the timer on her camera. The title of her photo is "Ravenel and Me" and was taken at the Mount Pleasant Pier Park. Photography is one of the many artistic hobbies that Shayla enjoys.
She didn't win the contest, however she did receive a honorable mention award including a one day class at the Charleston Center for Photography and her photo will be on display at the downtown Charleston library for the month of October.
We are very proud of Shayla and wanted to share her success with everyone.
